The South North-Network Cultures and Development has been
supported throughout its existence by the D.G. VIII (Developpment
Co-operation) Directorate of the European Commission, by the
Paris-based Fondation Charles-Léopold Mayer pour le
Progrès de l'Homme and by a large number of NGDO's. Among them
APHD (Hong Kong), Broederlijk Delen (Belgium), CCFD (France), Christian
Aid (Great Britain and Ireland), Bilance (Netherlands), DANIDA
(Denmark), Development and Peace (Canada), EMW (Germany), Entraide et
Fraternité (Belgium), Franklin and Eleonor Roosevelt Institute (
USA), Frères des Hommes (Luxemburg), ICCO (Netherlands),
Missionari CICM (Italy), NCOS (Belgium), NORAD (Norway), OXFAM
(Belgium), SCIAF (Scotland), as well as by a number of private donors.
Some of the
programmes of the Network have been officially recognized by UNESCO as
part of the World Decade for Cultural Developmentand and the
international year for a culture of peace.
