NETWORK CULTURES OFFERS...

Gathering of experiences

The testimony of people involved in local action can help others to break new ground. However, people with the time or opportunity to describe and analyse their experiences are few and far between. The work of Network Cultures gives them the opportunity to step back and reflect on their work.

Common reflection

Seminars and long term research programmes are organised in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe. The participants write down their experiences, these accounts are analysed and are the focus of common reflection. Stimulating similarity and diversity of their experiences emerge from this process.

Dissemination of the collective knowledge of Network Cultures

The journal Cultures and Development (Brussels) (in French and English) synthesises the contents of the seminars and workshops and provides information focused on the relationship between cultures and social, economic and political life. Our web site offers a global and regularly updated view on our work and our activities. The journal "Otra Bolsa de Valores" (Mexico) reproduces some of that material for Spanish speakers. The journal "Butterfly Futures" produced by Siddharta (Base in India) focuses on Asian - Pacific issues and on world problems seen from an Asian perspective.

Training

Training and reflection sessions are offered worldwide.

Intercultural consultancy service

Acting as consultants, Network Cultures offers its expertise for the development of programmes, evaluations and reorientation.

Databank

Network Cultures adds its knowledge to a databank based on concrete experiences. This databank was created and is managed by the Paris based Fondation Charles-Léopold Mayer pour le Progrès de l'Homme.
