From Seattle to Brussels, via Davos and Genoa,
civil society is globalising its opposition to materialism, to
injustice, as well as to environmental and cultural destruction. An
appeal to spiritual re-rooting so as to tackle the burning issues of
today' s world was made in Zug, Switzerland. This issue reports on
this.
It also includes a draft paper on
« Cultures, Spirituality and Development » which
has been prepared by Network Cultures for World Faith Development
Dialogue.
The French part of this issue presents a
number of other alternative meetings (Fez, Morocco) and institutions
(the Brazilia Holistic University). The entire issue is devoted to the
question : is it possible and desirable to give a soul to
globalisation ? And if so, how ?
